We're currently a bit behind on Ruby upgrades. This commit updates it from 3.4.3 to 3.4.8. There is a stable version of Ruby 4 released, but as of now (Jan 2026) govuk-ruby-images doesn't support it. https://github.com/alphagov/govuk-ruby-images/blob/main/build-matrix.json It only supports up to Ruby 3.4.5 but we'll stick with the latest 3.4.x so our local development is up-to-date while remaining close to Production.

Looks good to me, worth warning devs and Data Scientists about updating their Ruby versions.

We're currently a bit behind on Ruby upgrades. This commit updates it from 3.4.3 to 3.4.8.
There is a stable version of Ruby 4 released, but as of now (Jan 2026) govuk-ruby-images doesn't support it.
It only supports up to Ruby 3.4.5 so we'll stick with the latest 3.4.x so our local development is up-to-date.
